We are excited to share that on February 28th @ 530pm the Western Massachusetts Black Nurses Association (WMBNA) will be partnering on an upcoming film viewing of the SHIFT: "Everybody's Work," followed by a panel discussion. This film examines structural racism through the lens of nurses and exposes the bias that results in the worst healthcare outcomes for people of color. In addition, it captures the painful impact on both patients and nurses! We are honored to have an esteemed panel of speakers, including:
· Charles Redd, MS, RN - DEI Officer, Berkshire Health System
· Dr. Khadija Tuitt - Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Owner of In-Tuitt Behavioral Health Services
· Lee-Jay Henry-Thompson, MSN, FNP, RN, CPEN - Pediatric Emergency Department, Baystate Medical Center
· Dr. Tyonne Hinson - Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, Baystate Health
We are also delighted that Lisa Fugiel, Assistant Dean of SHPS/Director of Nursing of Health & Patient Simulation from Springfield Technical Community College will be partnering with WMBNA for this event.
Join us for the WMBNA viewing of Shift Films' "Everybody's Work: Healing what
Hurts Us All." "Everybody's Work " We all have work to do to ensure a brighter future for our communities.
